Long overdue attempt at a self portrait, I haven’t drawn any portraits for quite some time, and I feel the need to practice drawing people and faces. This drawing was based on a photograph my boyfriend took, it was very windy that day and I was cold O.O

This is very amazing!!! Could you tell me about how long it took you to do this? Your other artwork is breathtaking as well! I really love this- I am new to deviantart, could you take a look at one of my sketches? I have only uploaded two, and I'm not even twelve, so I'm not near as great as you are!! You have an extraordinary talent!
Thankyou It took about an hour to do as it was a speedpaint. Your portraits are rili good! I'd invest in a scanner though so that you can upload them at their best!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!I have a scanner at my grandparent's but I emailed my drawing to myself, saved it, and edited it (straightened and cropped)in Picasa, and then uploaded it here....so it would have looked worse if I didn't...my pants would have been in it or something, I have a VAIO Laptop and I'm currently downloading Sony Vegas and Adobe After Affects so I can have a variety of artwork.... I already use GIMP and some different websites for editing and making photos... How long have you been interested/working/making art? It's been since I was young but I really got off about 2 years ago. and any more advice?
Woah, I think I have been drawing since I was about 2, ever since I could hold a pencil! It's almsost theriputic for me when I draw so it's something I have always done whenever I could. My advice would be just to draw whenever you can, always keep a sketchpad one you coz you never know when inspiration is going to hit you and you just need to sketch down an idea.
Thanks, I really have faith that I could get a career in art, I don't think I really ever stop trying... I've been interested in art since I've been able to do it as well... I have several sketchpads and I actually consider them my best friends..thanks again!
